A TEENAGE car crash victim has returned home after a successful operation to remove a blood clot from his brain.

Nicky Graham has walked back through the door of his home in Church Road, Murston, near Sittingbourne, after more than a week in hospital.

Nicky was involved in a horror crash in Borden Lane, Borden, on September 7. Firefighters had to cut him free from the wreckage of his the car before he was taken to hospital. Later he was transferred to a London hospital where surgeons removed the clot.

Still nursing a huge scar across his head, the 17-year-old former Westlands School student said: "I still feel dizzy and light headed sometimes but I'm OK."

His relieved father Kevin, 41, said there were times when he and his wife Libby thought they would have to prepare for Nicky's funeral.

But the whole family, including brother Ashley, 15, and sister Danielle, 20, feel lucky to have him back home and alive.

Mr Graham added: "We have been through hell and back but God knows what Nicky has been through. There are so many people we have got to thank once everything has calmed down."
