A freezer, tumble dryer and television were destroyed in a garage fire.

Two pumps from Medway's blue watch were called to the scene in Conway Mews, Brompton at 9.45pm, Tuesday.

Crews were there for 45 minutes to help ensure the fire, probably caused by an electrical fault to the freezer, was properly extinguished.

The owners had already partially extinguished the flames but the household items stored in the garage could not be saved.
