Popular and gifted teenager Josh Callaghan

HUNDREDS of mourners have gathered to say their final goodbyes to a popular teenager killed in a road accident in Northfleet.

Josh Callaghan died following a collision with a car in London Road on January 24 as he walked along the pavement with dad Tim.

On Friday more than 300 family members and friends paid their last respects to the 16-year-old, from Bromley, in a moving service at Hither Green Crematorium, in Lewisham.

Tim Callaghan told mourners: "I never believed in 16 years how many hearts one person could touch, but somehow Josh, you did. Not an hour goes by without me thinking, why you son and not me?"
