POLICE are searching for a van driver who fled the scene of an accident after colliding with a motorcyclist.

The driver of the white Ford Transit drove away from the scene after the accident on the A228 near Strood on Sunday shortly before 9.30am.

The London-bound section of the carriageway by the Four Elms roundabout was closed while ambulance crews treated the injured motorcyclist and took him to Medway Maritime Hospital at Gillingham .
