A THIEF snatched a handbag from the back of a car as a 75-year-old woman was preparing to drive off from her parking space.

The incident happened in Graystone Road, Whistable.

The brown bag had cash, bank cards and a phone inside.

The man is described as slim, with dark brown hair and a slightly pointed nose and was wearing a hooded black fleece top with white sleeves.
