An inquest will be held on Thursday into the death of a man who died in a caravan fire.

Benjamin Holding, 43, died on Saturday, October 4, last year after the fire broke out in the caravan in which he was staying.

It was parked on land at River View House, on the Ratcliffe Highway at Hoo.

It is thought the blaze, which reduced the caravan to a pile of twisted metal, started at about 4.40am.

Scene-of-crime officers and fire investigators scoured the area for clues and the area was sealed off at the entrance to the site to allow investigations to continue.

Another man who was not in the caravan when the fire started was injured and taken to hospital.

The Medway Coroner's office have listed that Mr Holding died of inhalation of fumes during the fire.

The inquest is being held at the Corn Exchange, Rochester, at 10.15am.
