Man held in Kent over 'ammonia' attack on trio near The Lightbox club in Vauxhall

A man has been arrested in Kent after three men are believed to have been sprayed with ammonia.

The 31-year-old was held in the county yesterday on suspicion of committing grievous bodily harm.

Scotland Yard said he remains in custody at a south London police station today over the attack near a club in Vauxhall.

The arrest was made by officers from Scotland Yard

Police said two men were attacked close to The Lightbox in the early hours of Saturday, May 8 after a row.

A third victim was also sprayed in the face a short time later with the liquid, believed to ammonia.

Detectives earlier said they were treating it as a homophobic attack.
