Kent gets weather warning for rain, thunderstorms and possible flooding

Kent is set for a few wet days - with weather experts slapping a weather warning for rain on the county.

The warning is in place for tomorrow, with rain set to be accompanied by strong and gusty winds.

Thundery showers will hit the region later tomorrow and through Saturday.

A Met Office expert warned: "A very unstable airmass is likely to follow this more persistent rain, with 10-15 mm in an hour possible in a few places.

"With this bout of heavy rain and showers coming after a few wet days, localised flooding is a possibility either from surface water or from some rivers."
