Kent men charged over Butlin's holiday camp brawl

A group of seven men from north Kent have been charged over a brawl at a Butlin's holiday park.

Police were called to a nightclub at the camp in Bognor Regis, Sussex, shortly after midnight on November 5 last year.

The fight left six people needing hospital treatment.

Officers arrested 13 people, seven of whom are from north Kent and have now been charged with affray.

They are Craigh Whittam, 27, of Brittania Drive, Gravesend; Andrew Wood, 29, of Portland Avenue, Gravesend; Daniel Asbury, 27, of Marks Square, Northfleet; Scott Robinson, 28, of York Road, Northfleet; Robert Green, 34, of Stanley Crescent, Gravesend; Sam Hedges, 28, of Lime Avenue, Northfleet; and Farai Mutepfa, 27, of Childs Crescent, Swanscombe.

Asbury and Robinson are also charged with common assault, while Green is accused of causing grievous bodily harm.

Mutepfa is charged with causing actual bodily harm and Hedges with possesion of cocaine.

The men are on police bail and due to appear before magistrates in Chichester next Wednesday.

No charges have been brought against the other six people arrested.
