Kent set to bask in 28C

Temperatures are expected to rise to nearly 30C today, sparking a weather alert.

People in Kent are being warned to be cautious about UV levels and to make sure they take care in the heat.

Gravesend is set to be hit by temperatures of about 28C by 5pm, according to the Met Office.

It could be a sticky night too as a minimum temperature of 13C is expected overnight, as it remains dry with light winds.

On Monday we are likely to see more sunny spells, but cloud later in the day.
