Kerb crawler fined for ASBO breach

A KENT man who admitted breaching his Anti Social Behaviour Order for kerb crawling has been fined £50.

John Steel, 57, of Iden Road, Frindsbury, near Rochester, was given the ASBO in July. Steel, who is unemployed, appeared before Medway Magistrates.

Steel was originally given a conditional discharge after admitting the offence in September.

But he was recalled to court to be re-sentenced after it emerged the discharge was an inappropriate punishment for the offence.
