MONEY tied up in stock which is not selling not only takes up space but also ties up valuable resources.

The normal options for a business would be to hold a sale or increase its advertising.

But the Kent Messenger Group is offering another way to promote surplus stock with the KM November Clearance and Surplus Stock Fair at Detling showground.

On the weekend of November 12 and 13 (Saturday and Sunday), businesses have the chance to come together in a convenient location at a good time of the year and take advantage of the large consumer and trade audience that the KM Group can attract.

Timed in advance of the Christmas buying period, the fair is designed to help retailers and wholesalers clear stock rooms for the next season over a concentrated time period.

The event will feature products including clothing, footwear, gifts and novelties, housewares and household goods. Any business with surplus stock in these categories is invited to attend.

There are two standard packages on offer:

Gold: 36 sq metres of space, including electrics, three tables and six chairs for £1,350 + VAT.
Silver: 18 sq metres of space, including electrics, two tables and four chairs for £995 + VAT.
