A TEENAGER stabbed to death in a Kent town was due to stand trial this month in connection with another stabbing, it has emerged.

Faridon Alizada, 18, was fatally stabbed in the chest at a flat in Verona House, a residential tower block on the Larner Road estate in Erith, on January 5.

Two 16-year-olds with him at the time were also stabbed but survived.

It has now emerged that Alizada, from Woolwich, south east London was allegedly involved in a fight at a newsagents in Charlton last June, in which a victim suffered 14 stab wounds.

He had denied a charge of violent disorder and was due to stand trial at Woolwich Crown Court on February 18.

It has also understood that Alizada had been stabbed in a separate incident a year before his death.

The attack happened in Plumstead High Street on January 1, 2007, and is believed to have been linked to a fight between gangs of youths.

Alizada was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital after being found wounded at a bus stop, but his injuries at the time were not life threatening.

It is understood that Alizada, who lived with his father on a Woolwich council estate, did not wish to assist police and declined to pursue any allegations.

* Two men, both aged 32, are expected to stand trial at the Old Bailey accused of murder later this year.
