Langham fails in sentence cut bid

A BID by disgraced Kent actor Chris Langham to have his 10-month prison sentence reduced has failed.
The 58-year-old BAFTA winner from Golford, near Cranbrook, will have to remain in prison until at least the end of December. He was jailed in September for 15 offences of having indecent images of children on his computer.
Today, a High Court judge sitting in private rejected an application for leave to appeal submitted by his legal team. It is believed the plank of their argument was that Langham did not pay for the images.
The father-of-five is currently serving time at Elmley Prison on the Isle of Sheppey where he has endured abuse from fellow inmates.
