CHRIS LANGHAM: his wife says he is attempting to remain positive

DISGRACED Kent actor Chris Langham, who has been jailed for 10 months for downloading child pornography, has been "taunted continuously" in prison, his wife claims.

This week choreographer Chrissie Langham broke her silence and, in an interview with the Kent Messenger, tells of the effect on her family of her husband’s arrest, trial and imprisonment.

The actor, who won Bafta awards for his roles in The Thick of It, and Help, has been "verbally abused, taunted continuously, and had missiles thrown at him by other prisoners at Elmley Prison on the Isle of Sheppey.

Despite this, Mrs Langham, who lives near Cranbrook, says he is attempting to remain positive and being polite to his abusers, although a "good morning" to prison officers is usually greeted with an order to "shut up".
