Latvian man driven to orchard and attacked

A YOUNG Latvian man was forced into a car before being driven to an orchard and attacked.

The 24-year-old victim was pushed into a small green car by two men in Northdown Road, Cliftonville, near Margate, between 3pm and 4pm on Sunday.

There were three other men in the car.

He was then taken to an orchard at Beltinge, near Herne Bay, and assaulted.

All the men are described as black.

Police spokesman Jo Robertson said: "It is understood that the incident may have followed a dispute about money."

The victim required treatment at the QEQM Hospital after the attack.
