Simeon Jackson could again be missing from the Gillingham starting XI as his injury problems persist.

Gills’ 17-goal top scorer (pictured) was restricted to the bench last Saturday at Charlton, after suffering a hamstring injury the previous week against Stockport and he still hasn’t shaken off the problem.

Boss Mark Stimson said: "He is not 100 per cent and we are going to have to wait and see whether he is going to be available this weekend.

"He didn’t feel any effect after the game on Saturday but he did on Sunday with a twinge. It’s not the news we wanted.

"Fingers crossed, it’s not too serious but we’ll have to go day by day."

That leaves the door open for Dennis Oli to continue his role up-front where he was effective against Charlton alongside Rene Howe.

Stimson added: "Dennis has upped the ante of late and seems to want to really get involved in this League 1."

Stimson will have Chris Dickson back at his disposal after the on-loan striker had to sit out last week’s match against his parent club.

The Gills will still be without defender Josh Gowling due to a hamstring injury.

Stimson said: "Hopefully, sooner rather than later, he will be back involved in the squad."
