A LORRY and a Vauxhall Astra were in collision on Bearsted Road, near the junction with Hollingbourne Lane in Bearsted, near Maidstone, this morning.

The collision took place at about 7.50am. Police and ambulance crews were called to the scene.

Two people were involved, but neither had serious injuries. The driver of the Astra was taken to Maidstone Hospital by ambulance to be checked over.
