A man has died after the van he was driving crashed in Nettlestead.

The 63-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene at about 11.15am yesterday.

He was driving a blue Volkswagen Transporter that crashed on the Maidstone Road towards Nettlestead Green, near Wateringbury.

No other vehicles are believed to have been involved.

The road was closed at the junction with Gibbs Hill and re-opened shortly after 2pm.
