A man was due before magistrates in Sevenoaks today charged over a parcel van robbery.

Ashley Whittaker, of Arundel Road, Dartford, was arrested at 1.30pm on the A21 yesterday.

The 23-year-old is charged with robbery, dangerous driving, taking a vehicle without consent and driving without insurance.

It follows an incident in Pembury in which a delivery van was stolen. Police had to stop the vehicle using a stinger device.
