A 27-year-old man has appeared in court charged with the murder of Ted Shaxted.

Bill Harry Saunders, 27, of Shamrock Road Gravesend came up before Dartford Magistrates Court today and was remanded in custody.

It follows the death of 36-year-old Mr Shaxted in Wallis Park, Northfleet in December last year.

Mr Shaxted died in hospital on Sunday 16 December 2007 from injuries caused when he was attacked in his home two weeks earlier on Sunday 2 December 2007.
