A 26-year-old man has been charged in connection with an assault in which a 15-year-old boy suffered a single stab wound.

Andrew Woolman, of Breach Lane, Lower Halstow, near Gillingham, is accused of wounding with intent.

The teenager remains in Medway Maritime Hospital where he is said to be in a stable condition.

Woolman was arrested on Wednesday morning and will appear before magistrates in Sittingbourne today.
