Man charged with defecating on trains

BRITISH Transport Police have charged a man with causing extensive criminal damage to trains across the railway network.

Bonney Eberndu, 36, of no fixed home, was arrested by police officers in Camberwell Green bus garage on Wednesday.

Eberndu has been remanded in custody to appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court this Friday (October 27)

BTP Det Con Donna Fox said: “He has been interviewed by police and charged with causing criminal damage to the railway network.”

The charges relate to up to 22 incidents on trains in the south and south-east of England, where human excrement was found smeared in carriages.

The incidents are estimated to have caused more than £20,000 in damage and resulted in major inconvenience and disruption to train services.
