A 42-year-old man has died after a head-on smash between two cars on the A2070 last night.

Kent police were called at 7.30pm, where two other people were taken to the William Harvey hospital in Ashford.

One is in a critical condition but remains stable.

It happened between Ashford and Hamstreet and the road remained closed until just before midday.
