A MAN was left needing hospital treatment after leaping out of the way of a speeding car.

Police are appealing for help in tracing the vehicle, believed to be a black-coloured two-door hatchback.

The car is alleged to have driven down King Street, Ramsgate, at high speed, forcing the male pedestrian to jump for safety.

As he did so he fell into a doorway, hitting his head badly.

The incident happened at about 10.40pm on Tuesday, August 8, and anyone who witnessed it or who knows the identity of the driver should call PC Neil Carroll at Margate Traffic Office on 01843 231055.
