A 40-YEAR-OLD was injured when he fell out of a tree in school grounds in the middle of the night.

The man had plunged between eight and 10 feet from the tree at Riverside Primary in St Edmunds Way at Rainham. He was taken by ambulance to Gillingham's Medway Maritime Hospital, suffering neck pain but remained conscious. Firefighters had to cut a lock to gain access to the grounds.

It is not known why the man had been in the grounds in the first place. The incident happened at about 3am on Saturday.
