A man appeared at Maidstone Crown Court today accused of murdering a cousin.

Robert Bygrave, 31, of Harold Road, Sittingbourne, was remanded in custody until August 24, when he is expected to enter a plea.

Father-of-two Steven Bygrave, 36, of Murston, suffered fatal stab wounds in Oak Road, Sittingbourne, on June 6.

Judge Andrew Patience QC set a provisional trial date of January 4 next year.
