Man in hospital after stabbing

A 20-year-old man is in a London hospital after being stabbed in Maidstone on Saturday night.

Police say the man, from the town, was wounded with a "sharp implement" at the junction of St Faith's Street and Station Road, Maidstone, at 11.30pm.

The junction was cordoned off while witnesses spoke to police on Saturday night. Police are now studying CCTV and speaking to witnesses.

The injured man is said to be in a comfortable condition in St Thomas' Hospital in London today.
