Man killed in caravan blaze horror

One man has died and another has been injured after a caravan fire in a Kent village.

Police and firefighters went to the scene of the blaze off the Ratcliffe Highway at Hoo, near Rochester at around 4.40am Saturday.

The injured man was taken to hospital but his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening. He was not in the caravan at the time of the fire.

The dead man's next of kin and the Coroner have been informed.

A police spokesman: "Details of the cause are not yet known."

The area was cordoned off as emergency services dealt with the incident.
