A 53-year-old man has died after the motorcycle he was riding collided with a van.

The accident happened around 1.22pm yesterday on Linton Hill, near Loose, when a black Yamaha motorbike was in collision with a white Iveco panel van close to Rankin Farm.

The rider received medical treatment but died at the scene.
