A 29-year-old man has appeared before magistrates at Margate accused of attempted murder.

Patrick McVeigh of Palmer Crescent, Margate, was arrested after a 26-year-old woman was stabbed in the arm and leg at a house in Palmer Crescent last Wednesday night.

McVeigh appeared before the court on Saturday.
