POLICE are appealing for information after a robbery early on Sunday morning.

The wife of the owner of a Ford Fiesta heard a noise at 2.15am while at home in Unicorn Walk, Greenhithe.

When she looked out of the bedroom window she saw three teenagers pushing the car down the road.

The 32-year-old owner ran outside but by the time he reached his car the teenagers had run away.

But while he was trying to push his car back to the parking area the three returned and asked him for a tool they had left in the car.

When he refused he was punched in the face by one of the teenagers and suffered bruising to his face.

The teenager who assaulted the victim is described as white, aged between 18 and 19, 5ft 11in and of slim build. He was wearing a brown hooded top with the hood pulled up.

The car had a damaged door frame and the cowling around the steering column had been removed.

Anyone with information is asked to contact North Kent Police on 01474 565167 (quoting reference 15286) or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
