Man robbed after leaving pub

A 36-YEAR-OLD man is recovering after being assaulted and robbed by a gang of youths.

The man, who is from Chatham, was walking home along Bromley Close when he was approached from behind and hit on the head.

The victim had left the Victoria Cross public house in Lordswood Lane and began walking home. He fell to the floor and was repeatedly kicked and punched by the group of six or seven youths.

They stole the man’s gold ring and mobile phone before running off.

The victim suffered bruising at the back of his head, to his ribs and a number of cuts and grazes.
