Man stabbed with screwdriver in Victoria Park, Ashford

A man has been stabbed with a screwdriver during a fight at Victoria Park in South Ashford.

The assault happened after a row between two men and a woman, all known to each other.

The injured man was not seriously hurt in the stabbing and chased after the man and woman, who drove off in a Ford Focus car.

A 26-year-old Ashford woman later arrested on suspicion of assault has been released on bail until August 24.

Kent Police are are trying to trace an Asian man, who was wearing a grey top and blue jeans.

Witnesses or anyone with information about the stabbing, at 7.15pm on Friday, is asked to phone DC Mick Sedden at Kent Police on 01303 389353, giving reference ZY/20769.
