Man suffers fractured jaw after seafront attack

A group of thugs attacked a man in a brutal attack outside a Whitstable burger bar.

The 24-year-old, from Haywards Heath in West Sussex, was on a night out in the town and was walking past the food outlet at Beach Walk when he says he was assaulted.

He suffered a fractured jaw and bruising to his face and abdomen.

Detective Constable Louise Hammond, from the East Kent Area Major Enquiry Team, said the assault happened some time between 2.20am and 2.50am on Sunday, October 16.

She added: “We are very keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and who may have seen what happened."
