Man taken to hospital with serious injuries

A 30-year-old cyclist was taken to hospital with serious head injuries after a crash in Greenhithe.

Police and ambulance crews were called to Cobham Terrace, close to McDonald's Greenhithe in London Road, on Saturday at 7.10pm.

A police spokesman said the male cyclist was taken to Kings College hospital in London with head injuries.

The injuries are not life threatening.

Police closed London Road for almost an hour before reopening it at 8.20pm.
