A MAN has appeared in court following Thursday's shooting at a Kent marina.

Tim Williams, 49, of Stargate Marina, Vicarage Lane, Hoo, was brought before magistrates on Saturday charged with the attempted murder of Luke Deards.

The incident was alleged to have happened at the marina on Thursday.

Williams, flanked by two guards, was in Medway Magistrates Court on Saturday morning for a hearing lasting less than five minutes.
