The hunt is on for four men after a robbery at a Kent building society.

The gang, who hid their faces with scarves, broke into the Nationwide Building Society on Watling Street, Gillingham at about 10.30pm Friday, just as cash delivery drivers were dropping off cash in secure boxes.

Police say the gang were not armed - but grabbed the cash boxes from the delivery drivers at the scene. They escaped on foot.

It has not been revealed how much the boxes contained, but both are thought to be capable of holding thousands of pounds.
