Medway has been named as one of the worst hit councils in the South East for significant fly-tipping incidents.
Last year, across the South East, 579 'big incidents' - significant or fly-tipped multi loads - were reported to the Environment Agency.
Medway had the highest percentage of reported incidents with 109 'big incidents' reported - almost 19 per cent of the total.
Toby Willison, regional director for the Environment Agency in the South of England, said: "In recent years, we have made solid progress protecting vulnerable communities, cutting pollution incidents and improving our natural environment.
“But climate change and population growth are long-term challenges we cannot afford to ignore.
"Forward planning and collective action will ensure the demands these place on our region’s resources are managed in a way that allows future generations to benefit from the South East’s outstanding geography, prosperity and natural beauty.”
