TWO men forced entry into an old woman's house in broad daylight and stole her petty cash.

The 79 year-old victim was alone in her house on Tuesday, October 26, when she heard two men outside her front window.

One of the men told her they were inspecting the drains before both of them forced their way into the house on Barnehurst Avenue, Bexleyheath, and made away with around £40 in cash.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the burglary which happened in the middle of the day, around 3.40pm, as parents would have been collecting children from nearby schools.

The men are about 40 years old, white and around 5ft6inc tall. If anyone saw two men acting suspiciously they should call Bexleyheath CID on 020 8284 9296 or anonymously on 0800 555 111.
