Midweek Ryman League round-up

Maidstone took the Ryman League Division 1 South title race to the final day of the season with a 4-1 win at Chipstead on Tuesday night.

Winger Alex Flisher (pictured) opened the scoring in the 23rd minute.

Lauren Hamici (26) equalised but Stuart King (37) restored the lead after Chips had Matt Smith sent off.

Dan Stubbs (50) added United's third before Alex Brown clinched the points on the hour.

United will win the league on goal difference if they beat Horsham and leaders Dulwich lose to Burgess Hill on Saturday.

Managerless Herne Bay lost 4-2 at Walton & Hersham.

Goals from John Clark (21), Tony Reid (32), Harold Odametey (36) and James Awofisan (58) put the hosts in charge.

Joe Nelder (72) and James Turner (90) replied for Bay who remain 17th in the table.

Chatham made it four wins in a row in Ryman League Division 1 North with a 2-1 home victory against Harlow.

Goals from Austin Gacheru (28) and Alim Sesay (40) gave Chats a half-time cushion.

Harlow replied on 62 minutes but Chatham held on and are up to 13th place.
