Missing elderly man may fall into coma

POLICE are searching for a 83-year-old man who went missing from hospital on Wednesday morning.

Raymond Hilliard who suffers from dementia and is also insulin dependent, was last seen at Darent Valley Hospital in Greenhithe at 10am.

Without medication, needed by 4pm yesterday, he is likely to fall into a diabetic coma, police have said.

A spokesman for North Kent Police said: “Mr Hilliard is 83-years-old but is described as looking younger, around late 60s. He is a white man, of slim build, 5ft 9in, with short white hair.

“He was wearing a black jacket, green jumper and green/brown trousers. He is able to hold a conversation and may mention Hazel, his wife who died recently.”

Anyone who has seen Mr Hilliard should contact police immediately on 01474 331055.
