Missing man lost in Medway is found safe

Have you seen Joseph Tyler?

A diabetic man missing since Wednesday night has been found.

Joseph Tyler, 59, from Margate Close, Gillingham is currently being treated at Medway Maritime Hospital for hypothermia.

He was found at 7.22am on Friday at the Riverside Country Park, Gillingham after making a call to a relative.

His family called in police after getting a call from Joseph at 6pm on Wednesday saying he was near water and a path and could see Kingsnorth Power Station.

Police believed that he suffered from various medical problems, including diabetes, and may have been confused and upset

Police handed out photos of Mr Tyler in the lower Gillingham area. The Kent Police helicopter was also called in to aid the search.
