POLICE are searching for a 34-year-old man who left a house in a Kent town for a business meeting seven days ago but failed to show up.

Tom Bourne left his mother's address in Whitstable for Croydon last Wednesday.

Police have since found his white Ford Transit van in the Borough Green area, near Sevenoaks, but Mr Bourne has not made any contact.

Insp Maria Spanton said: "We are concerned for the welfare of Tom. He is not in any trouble but we want to make sure he is safe and well.

"We want to make it clear and reassure Tom that any information as to his whereabouts and circumstances will be handled in the strictest confidence."
