More roads on satellite navigation

TOYOTA customers need never be lost again with the improved satellite navigation and Electronic Traffic Avoidance (ETA) system.

The system covers more roads than ever before, including more ‘A’ roads, all major motorways as well as Northern Ireland for the first time. There are three major improvements to the system:

1. Traffic incidents are sorted by junction number, making the information easier to search through.

2. When a motorway exit is closed, messages now include direction information so Toyota drivers can be told, for example, M25 at J25 clockwise exit closed.

3. The new software adds additional information to clarify that both directions or only one direction is affected by contraflows or weather- related incidents.

Toyota Corolla customers who bought their vehicle with optional satellite navigation and ETA from January 2002 will be offered a replacement disc at no cost.

Toyota Avensis GS, GLS and CDX models have had ETA fitted as standard since January this year and customers have the option to buy a new disc at a discounted price.
