Tommy Presley, 18, of Bankside, Northfleet, and a 17-year-old youth, from Gravesend, who cannot be identified, deny murdering 29-year-old James Green, who suffered fatal knife wounds at a flat in Fishermen’s Hill on June 21.

Judge Jeremy Carey disqualified any potential jurors living within the DA11 postcode and any who might have a close relationship with serving police officers based at the North Kent stations of Ebbsfleet and Gillingham.

The judge said there would be a visit to the scene of the alleged crime this afternoon.

The trial is expected to last three to four weeks.
