THE Duke of York is visiting the Royal Engineers Museum in Gillingham today. The Duke, who flew helicopters for the Royal Navy during the Falklands War, is viewing a number of exhibitions at the museum, including several on the Falklands conflict itself.

Escorted by the Lord Lieutenant of Kent, Alan Willett, the Duke is seeing a Harrier jump jet launch pad built during the war by the Royal Engineers.

The Duke is being accompanied on his visit by the Mayor of Medway, Cllr Ted Baker, High Sheriff of Kent, Charles Dawes, and ADC Engineer in Chief, Brigadier David Innes.
