POLICE are appealing for help in locating a Kent woman who has gone missing after boarding a train at her village railway station.

Lorretta White, 71, was last seen by neighbours in Little Chequers, Wye, near Ashford, on Thursday afternoon.

It is known she boarded a London-bound Charing Cross train at Wye between 4pm and 5pm. She was seen speaking to a man at the station.

She is white, 5ft 4in tall and of stocky build. She was last seen wearing brown trousers, a blue and white jumper with horizontal stripes and a collar, a smart dark grey thigh length coat, brown leather slip on shoes and she also had a brown and burgundy beanie type hat.

She was carrying a brown handbag and a cream coloured carrier bag with black rope handles and ‘Links of London’ written on the side.

She was wearing a black faced ‘Longines’ watch with a black strap, a silver bracelet of bangle, two rings on her wedding finger, and possibly a string of pearls.

Police would like to speak to anyone who may have seen Mrs White on the London bound train, or elsewhere, after 4pm on Thursday, specially the man she spoke to her on the platform at Wye station.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Ashford Police on 01233 611055.
