A horse owner is appealing for information about her animal’s whereabouts after it disappeared from The Warren in Charing.

Mandy Gardner bought the horse on Tuesday, August 26, after driving by and seeing it looking ill.

Miss Gardner said: “Once I found the owner I managed to buy it from him, then and there.”

But the horse then disappeared sometime between 5pm that day and 6pm the following day, and she reported it to the police as stolen.

Miss Gardner said: “It could have just been someone with a kind heart who wanted to rescue the horse like I did.

“A vet may well have seen the horse, as it needed a good check over.”

The mare is 15 hands high, with a white fetlock on one of its hind legs.
