Neighbours rescue three people from Tunbridge Wells house fire

Three people have been rescued by neighbours after a blaze broke out at a house early this morning.

Firefighters were called to the property in Apple Tree Lane, Tunbridge Wells, at just before 2am.

Neighbours had already used a ladder to rescue the occupants before crews arrived.

Around 15 firefighters spent around half-an-hour putting out the flames.

No one was injured in the fire, which is believed to have started in the hallway.

Kent Police and paramedics were also at the scene.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service said the cause of the fire is not yet known.
